A DAY IN THE COUNTRY

We went for a drive after our trip to the 'Ol Country Barn festival yesterday in search of this pumpkin patch. I wasn't sure we'd be able to find it, but there's no missing it!
Absolutely fabulous!

We love the October festival at the 'Ol Country Barn!

These folks make the best homemade ice cream. I get a cup of the pumpkin flavor every year! Delicious!

There are crafters sprinkled all around the yard behind the barn...

...and lots of good eats! Besides the homemade ice cream, we ALWAYS get Roan's apple dumplings.

This is the back entrance into the 'Ol Country Barn where they have plenty of antiques and knick knacks.

I was so happy to be riding along the back country roads. Every mile, I left a worry behind. I took in the fresh air and the beauty. I never do enough of that. Guess that's why I always welcome October with open arms.

POOPED

Almost finished, but I'm getting very tired!

BYE-BYE BABY BLUE

Yippee! I'm gutting the studio! Bye-bye baby blue. Hello dream space!
After clearing most of the room, I pushed the rest, including my work table and desk, to the center. You may be wondering...where is all the "stuff"???

AAAHHHHH!!! Good grief, Charlie Brown!

It's all in the spare room which is the other space in the house yet to be tackled. I think (I hope) it looks worse than it is. There's a fabric layer a foot and a half deep across most of the bed. It's all folded neatly and organized by color so there is a method to the madness. But, wow!

Can you believe most of this came out of the closet? Hmmm....anyone want to buy a painting?

A little plastic goes a long way...the studio almost looks organized again.

All taped up with no where to go...except bye-bye!

Primed...for the finish line! I can't wait!

PEEK-A-BOO

Happy October! Time for pumpkin ice cream, raking leaves, and fall festivals galore! Oh, and orange....lots and lots of orange! My Peek-A-Book quilt was not published, but is posted on the Quilting Arts website: http://quiltingarts.com/qamag/online_extra/more_Go_Green_quilts.html
The quilt has an x-ray that needs a light source behind it to be fully effective. Unfortunately, it wasn't photographed/scanned that way. It just doesn't have the same effect without the x-ray. I think I have the better pic here. Enjoy!
