BLOG BIRTHDAY GIVEAWAY!

So while I wasn't looking, this little blog of mine had it's first birthday! Happy Birthday, Baby! To celebrate....

...I'm giving away two pieces featuring peeps in their birthday suits! They're original art quilts mounted to 8" x 10" mat board that reads "make art not war". MEMORIAL DAY MISH-MASH

We have a cemetery behind our house. It's one of those great cemeteries (if there is such a thing as a "great" cemetery) where there is hardly a stone dated after 1900. It has a whole lot of character. There were recently some renovations done where trees and plants were added. The place looks wonderful and it was nice that they had it finished in time for Memorial Day.

A little bit of a mish-mash here today. I'm working on this funky dunky Elvis collage for the studio.

Check out Hand of Man...an awesome shop in Owego, NY. It is chock full to the brim with pretties! WOW!

A KID AT HEART

Look what I made! It's an I Spy alphabet mounted on canvas. It's going up in the studio as soon as I can convince Ry to hang it!

I'm 30 now, but I'm still a great big kid at heart!

SEEKING INSPIRATION

So here's an idea for my next project: What if I could go back to my formative years and tell myself something? It could be anything, but I suppose it should be something of consequence. A warning. An insight. Words of wisdom or comfort. Knowing all that I know now and reflecting upon what I didn't know then, hmmm...what would I say? I'm seeking inspiration here. What would you tell yourself?
